DHA Housing Solutions for North Texas is now accepting applications for up to 12 months of past due and future rent assistance. This program will end at the end of 2021. It only applies to renters and owner/managers within the city limits of Dallas.
DHA will issue payments to tenants to cover up to 12 months of rent at a rate of up to $1,500 per month for the time period beginning March 2020 and ending December 31, 2021.
Landlords can apply for the relief funds on behalf of tenants, and tenants can apply themselves, as well. The program does not cover utilities such as electricity and water.
