AAGD Leadership Lyceum
AAGD has a long history of identifying, developing, inspiring, and empowering new and emerging leaders. The Lyceum Program is an immersive and collaborative three-month program that will bring together top professional candidates of varying backgrounds. Together, these candidates will develop the skills and confidence to grow as volunteer leaders within our industry.
AAGD’s Ideal Leadership Lyceum Candidate
- Current member of AAGD
- Currently employed full-time as an apartment industry professional
- Designations (CAM, CAPS, etc.) are not required, but highly preferred
- Considered to be an emerging or established leader
- Desire to be involved in a volunteer leadership role
No limitations on company affiliation or candidate job title.
Program Information
Leadership Lyceum members are required to attend five full-day sessions and two celebrations. The sessions will be held on the following dates. By submitting an application, you confirm availability for the following dates. Attendance is mandatory for graduation.
- Session 1: Thursday, August 27, 2026
- Session 2: Thursday, September 17, 2026
- Session 3: Thursday, October 15, 2026
- Session 4: Thursday, November 19, 2026
- Session 5: Wednesday, December 9, 2026 (Toys 4 Tots Set Up)
- Session 6: Tuesday, December 15, 2026
- Session 7: Wednesday, January 13, 2027 (Installation)
If accepted, Leadership Lyceum participants will receive the following benefits:
- Access to an immersive leadership development program over the course of 6-months.
- Lapel pin and trademarked designation badge for use in personal profiles and email signatures.
- Acknowledgment of graduation at a premier AAGD Event, on the AAGD website, and in AAGD’s monthly print publication, Rooflines.
The selection committee will meet in July to review applications. Final candidates will be announced at the end of July. The selection committee will be asked to consider the following:
- The committee will select up to 10 candidates.
- Of these candidates:
- Minimum of 1, max of 3, will be a Product & Service Partner Member
- Six+ candidates will be Owner/Manager Members
- One position will be dedicated to a Nextgen Candidate

Late July: Selected Applicants Notified
