2027 Dues Increase
Per Door Dues Increase: In late 2025, both the National Apartment Association (NAA) Board of Directors and Assembly of Delegates approved a phased membership dues increase of $0.09 per unit annually through 2032. As part of AAGD's affiliation with NAA, this increase is passed through directly to members and is incorporated into annual dues.
Additionally, the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD) Board of Directors approved a $0.07 per unit annual increase to AAGD's portion of the dues through 2032. Beginning in 2033, dues will automatically adjust by 3% annually.
For 2027, the total dues increase for Owner/Management members is $0.11 per unit. This amount is calculated as follows:
$0.04 per unit increase for NAA dues
$0.07 per unit increase for AAGD dues
While NAA approved a $0.09 annual increase, the actual impact in 2027 is reduced to $0.04 per unit because the $0.05 NAA dues special assessment, approved in 2020 and implemented in 2022, will sunset at the end of 2026.
As a result, the expiration of the special assessment offsets a portion of the new NAA increase, reducing the net NAA dues impact to members in 2027.
Supplier Member Dues Increase: Supplier Member dues will also increase in 2027. This adjustment is solely the result of NAA's approved dues increase and is a direct pass-through to supplier members. In accordance with NAA's approved schedule, Supplier Member dues will increase by 3% annually through 2032, ensuring continued support of advocacy, education, industry research, and member resources provided at the national level.

Payment Processing Update: Effective July 1, 2026, a 2.99% convenience fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. This fee helps offset the increasing costs associated with credit card processing and will apply to membership dues, event registrations, sponsorships, and other purchases made by credit card.
Members may avoid this fee by utilizing ACH/eCheck or other approved non-credit card payment methods.
Dues Structure and Billing Details:
- All member dues are annual; billed and paid once a year.
- The dues invoice is to be paid on the assigned anniversary month.
- All Owner/ Management or Supplier Member dues will be sent directly to their company.
- Properties inherit the membership benefits via their Owner/Management Membership. Properties pay the per door portion of the dues based on their unit size. All Dues (Owner/ Mgmt. Co. and Property) need to be paid for a company to be in good standing. (All properties owned or managed by a member company within our service area are required to be inheriting members in good standing to have access to the membership benefits)
- Each Property will receive an individual invoice, based on property unit count.
- Properties will pay dues on the property’s anniversary month. The anniversary date will not change, even if the owner/management company changes.
