Category: Maintenance Class

Instructed by: Tonya Lambert, NATE, Technical Service Advisor, Century HVAC Distributing

Recommended for: Technicians who service and maintain HVAC 410a systems

Class Description: Because many HFC refrigerants, such as R-410A, operate at considerably higher pressures than many other refrigerants, safety training is imperative. R-410A systems will require service professionals to use different tools and equipment when installing, retrofitting, or repairing these systems.

In this class you will learn:

  • R-410A and the R-22 Phase-out: Safety and R-410A, HCFC phase-out schedule
  • Basic Service Tools, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Fundamentals, Refrigerant Recovery Systems,
  • Safety Overview etc.

Materials: You will be provided with a manual when you come to class.

Testing: The HVAC 410a exam is an online, open book test that does not require proctoring.  Because it is open book, you must make an 80% or better to pass.  At the end of the course students will receive test codes and instructions and will be able to schedule their proctored exam immediately.  Students will have 30 days from the day of the class to pass the exam.  Retests are provided by AAGD at an additional cost of $75.00.
