Spanish MPO (Manager of Pool Operation) - Live Webinar

This course is being held virtually using Microsoft Teams.  Course details and meeting links will be provided one week prior to the class.  The test will be adminstered online by the City of Dallas once the class has concluded.

Recommended for: Anyone who services a pool at a property located in the City of Dallas.  Please consult your local municipality to confirm what certification is required to operate your community's pool/spa.

Course Description: The City of Dallas is conducting their Pool School, which includes testing & 2-year certification.

Chapter 43A of the Dallas City Code requires a ‘Manager of Operations’ certification for a pool/spa.

The City of Dallas regulates and inspects all Apartment Communities Pools and Spas.  Pool inspectors check for storage of chemicals, chemical balance, water clarity, safety equipment, required signage, and depth markings. Properties with pools within the City of Dallas are required to post a current City of Dallas pool permit and current Manager of Pool Operations Certificate. This program content and certificates are issued and managed by the City of Dallas and will be delivered virtually, using Microsoft Teams. Certificates are issued by the City of Dallas at their discretion after grading the tests.

This course will teach you the requirements to successfully manage a swimming pool in the City of Dallas and you will also learn:

  • How to follow all safety requirements & maintain records.
  • About water clarity.
  • How to maintain filtration & recirculation systems.
  • How to treat the pool with biocidal shock treatment.

Submitting Your MPO Registration Form
You must complete your Manager of Pool Operations Registration form and submit it to Liz Burnside at prior to the course.  YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND THE COURSE OR TAKE THE EXAM WITHOUT THIS FORM FIRST BEING SUBMITTED.

Cancellation Policy:  All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department at least 72 hours prior to class. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail.  Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION. By registering for this program, you agree that you have read and understood the cancellation policy.
