The City of Dallas
Those who manage/maintain a public pool/spa in the City of Dallas
Payment and MPO Application due by March 7th.
Chapter 43A of the Dallas City Code requires a ‘Manager of Operations’ certification for a pool/spa. The City of Dallas regulates and inspects all Apartment Communities Pools and Spas. Pool inspectors check for storage of chemicals, chemical balance, water clarity, safety equipment, required signage, and depth markings. Properties with pools within the City of Dallas are required to post a current City of Dallas pool permit and current Manager of Pool Operations Certificate. This program content and certificates are issued and managed by the City of Dallas and will be delivered virtually, using Microsoft Teams. Certificates are issued by the City of Dallas at their discretion after grading the tests.
This course will teach you the requirements to successfully manage a swimming pool in the City of Dallas and you will also learn:
- How to follow all safety requirements & maintain records.
- About water clarity.
- How to maintain filtration & recirculation systems.
- How to treat the pool with biocidal shock treatment.
Please note: this course is a two-year certification from the City of Dallas and should not be confused with the five-year national certification, CPO (Certified Pool Operator). To verify which certification is appropriate for your community, refer to your local municipality.
You must complete your Manager of Pool Operations Registration and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org No later than March 7, 2022.
You will not be eligible to attend the course or take the exam without this form first being submitted. The $25.00 fee listed on the application is part of your registration fee and does not need to be paid separately.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department no later than March 7th. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail. Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
