Vogel Alcove 'Bye Bye Bags'

The AAGD Community Service Committee has partnered with Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help young children and their families prevent and overcome the traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty. Earlier this year, AAGD members completed multiple building renovations at the center to upgrade its storage, landscaping, and overall facility. We are now inviting members to come together once again to help this program succeed even further.

Vogel gives out around 500 bye bye bags a week that include various food provisions. For some, this might be the only meal that they have when they leave the center. We’re asking all AAGD members to help us support Vogel and their ability to provide an additional meal for these children through donations and volunteering.

Through the month of September, we will be collecting food item donations from the Vogel Alcove Registry to be delivered to the AAGD office. Volunteers will then come together on October 3rd to assemble and deliver the bags to Vogel. Volunteer options will be visible on the registration page.
