Vogel Alcove 'Bye Bye Bags'

The AAGD Community Service Committee has partnered with Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help young children and their families prevent and overcome the traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty. Throughout the month of September, we collected food item donations from the Vogel Alcove Registry to be delivered to the AAGD office. Volunteers will be coming together on October 3rd to assemble and deliver the bags to Vogel. 

Vogel gives out around 500 bye bye bags a week that include various food provisions. For some, this might be the only meal that they have when they leave the center. We’re grateful for all AAGD members who helped us support Vogel and their ability to provide an additional meal for these children through donations and volunteering.

Earlier this year, AAGD members completed multiple building renovations at Vogel Alcove to upgrade its storage, landscaping, and overall facility. We are now inviting members to come together once again to help this program succeed even further. Please consider donating today.
