Dallas City Council approved a COVID-19 Landlord-Tenant Notice Ordinance

On April 22, 2020, the Dallas City Council approved a COVID-19 Landlord-Tenant Notice Ordinance. The ordinance requires owners/managers of rental property in the city of Dallas to issue a “COVID Notice of Possible Eviction” that allows residents at least 21 days to negotiate lease payment agreements with owners/managers. This ordinance is only for members with rental property in the city of Dallas, and it is in effect as of April 22.
