RECOMMENDED FOR

All on-site staff

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

Learn how to recognize potential risks before they become incidents, claims, complaints, or reputation problems.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Eligible for 3 CECs

As operators, you know the frustration and pain of being blindsided by a staffing or resident issue you didn't see coming.  Even worse?  When you look back and realize there were "signs" prior.  This program is about turning that 20/20 hindsight into 20/20 proactive foresight.

Key Takeaways

  • Threat & Safety Assessment: Potential physical/verbal threats to staff and residents, domestic violence, and overall on-site safety concerns
  • Resident & Eviction-Related Risk: Eviction concerns, resident disputes, and situations involving conflicting accounts or “he said/she said” scenarios
  • Security & Access Controls: Technology security, including cameras, alarms, and access controls, as well as evaluating on-site security personnel and coverage
  • Liability & Risk Management: Understanding the property’s liability when residents raise safety, security, or other concerns
  • Reputation & Communication Risk: Social media, reputation management, and responding appropriately to incidents or resident concerns that may become public

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jeff McKissack is a noted national and international speaker in the fields of risk and reputation management.  For 38 years he has personally addressed over 400,000 in live audiences, millions more via radio and TV, including numerous story commentaries on our local FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC and CW affiliates.  He began his career working with an investigative reporter/producer for 20/20, Sixty Minutes and NBC News.

Jeff regularly speaks to state, regional, national and international conferences and conventions to a wide array of professions and industries including those in the real estate, commercial and residential property management, legal, medical, educational, financial, government, human resource, risk management, insurance, security, retail, restaurant and event planning arenas to name a few.  He also offers both online and in-person staff training and continuing education programs when and where applicable.

But when asked, Jeff best sums up his message and mission by saying, "my goal is to help you spot trouble 'before' trouble spots you," and in today's world that is a message beneficial to us all, both personally and professionally.
