Class Description: As of February 2021, there was a whopping 10,224 open positions in the multifamily industry. The market is more competitive than ever, creating an urgency to make the right decision the first time when hiring. But finding the right person does not guarantee that they will stay. The multifamily industry is notorious for handing new hires the keys and letting them learn as they go, which can oftentimes lead to quick turnover of even the most promising of employees. To truly engage your employees, you must start from day one with an exceptional onboarding program.

- Best practices to develop a successful and meaningful onboarding process.
- How to create a senses of culture and work environment with your new employee.
- The roles that HR, managers, and co-workers will play in the process.
- How to quickly establish employee engagement.
- How to gather feedback and measure your success.

Wendy Rae has dedicated over 35 years in the multifamily industry. She began her career on the ground floor as a leasing agent and has worked her way through the ranks. This provides a working knowledge and remarkable value to owners. With all her cross over experience in management, Wendy Rae's great love is staffing, training, and marketing. Building a robust front line is where Wendy Rae delivers enduring results to the bottom line. She firmly believes that without the proper training, our teams would not be successful. Her innovative and forward-thinking has proven effective in implementing training programs, where team members can receive dedicated and ongoing training to ensure their success and achieve their career goals. Wendy Rae is a dynamic speaker and published author. She is also a member of the National Apartment Association Education Faculty.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department at least 24 hours prior to class. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail. Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
