Class Description: As the weather changes, so does the nature of your work orders. Understanding how to properly troubleshoot and repair water heaters and electric heating systems will not only save you time, but save your community money in contractors and unnecessary replacements.
In this class you will learn:
- How to diagnose and replace water heater elements, the thermostat
- T&P valve testing and replacement
- Proper water heater replacement procedures
- How to identify electric heat components
- Proper diagnostic and repair procedures for electric heat components
- How to calculate airflow using temperature heat rise
- Ohm’s Law
About the Instructor: Tonya Lambert, NATE, Technical Service Advisor, Century HVAC Distributing
Tonya is a NATE Certified Technician with 35 years of experience in the HVAC Service Industry. Her current position is Technical Service Advisor for Century HVAC Distributing. She provides HVAC training & Manufacturer technical support by phone or field site visits for Commercial, Residential equipment to include Duct Free Systems, Mini VRF and Manufactured Housing Equipment. She started in the Multi Family Industry in 1984, then went to work as a Service Technician for an Air Conditioning Contractor. Additionally, she has 10 years of experience developing and conducting HVAC Technical Training classes.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation for any Education Program must be received in writing and approved by the AAGD Education Department at least 24 hours prior to the event unless otherwise stated. Important; keep your cancellation approval e-mail for your records. If cancellation is not received at least 24 hours prior to the class you will be billed without exception as a no show.
