Program Description: 

As multifamily professionals you can be faced with sensitive and sometimes threatening situations that could result in harm to you, your team, or even your residents.  It is important to know how to respond and what actions to take to protect yourself and others.  Join Irving PD as they equip multifamily professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess, and respond to potentially threatening situations. Participants will learn practical strategies for deescalation, communication, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both your teams and residents.

During this Program You Will Learn About:

  • Threat Identification: Recognize the signs and indicators of potential threats, including verbal and nonverbal cues.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate the severity of a threat and determine appropriate response strategies.
  • De-escalation Techniques: Learn effective communication and conflict resolution skills to reduce tensions and prevent escalation.
  • Safety Protocols: Understand emergency procedures, reporting mechanisms, and self-defense strategies.

CANCELLATIONS:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department at least 24 hours prior to class. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail.  Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION. By registering for this program, you agree that you have read and understood the cancellation policy.
