Course Description: As a requirement to earning the Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) credential, the Supplier Success course is designed to offer an overview of the apartment industry, and it recommends ways for suppliers to maximize partnerships with apartment owners, apartment management companies, and apartment association members. The Supplier Success Program is also a great stand-alone program for any new supplier partner or an industry veteran looking for a refresher.
In this course you will learn:
- Types of multifamily housing, apartment ownership, and property management
- Apartment associations and building lines of business
- Apartment management company structures
- Apartment community performance measurements
- Using property performance measurements to demonstrate product value
- Defining product or service value
Whether you are a supplier partner veteran or new to the industry, you will find value in this class. Charles will provide tips and best practices from highly successful supplier partners and will discuss strategies for increasing your selling success.

About the Instructor:
Charles Stroud, CAS, NAAEI Faculty, President, Stroud Consulting Group
Since 1986, Charles has held several roles as an apartment operator and supplier partner to the multifamily industry. His resume lists participation in more than 180 National, State and Local committees.
He is the President of Stroud Consulting Group, which helps companies strategically engage apartment associations, increase sales revenue, better define sales processes and open doors to decision makers.
He has served on the Texas Apartment Association-Product Service Council Executive Committee for several years and is a Past-Chairman. Additionally, he has fulfilled roles as the NAA National Suppliers Council Executive Committee, including Chairman. He was also Chairman of the Apartment Association of Tarrant County (AATC) Product Service Council and served as Vice President of Product Service on the Executive Committee.
Charles has served several years as a Board Member of the Texas Apartment Association (TAA), the Apartment Association of Tarrant County (AATC), the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD)., and the National Apartment Association (NAA).
Charles is the first supplier partner to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the National, State and Local affiliate level. In 2019, he was the fifth Product Service Member to receive the NAA Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2020 he was awarded the Prestigious AATC Jerry Earnhart Distinguished Service Award which has only been presented to 10 individuals in 54 years. In 2022, Charles was awarded the Texas Apartment Associaton’s Olin Steele Lifetime Achievement Award. Charles was also presented the 2013 NAA-National Suppliers Council Chairman’s Award, the prestigious 2013 NAA’s Paragon Award for supplier partner service to the industry, and the 2017 NAA Excellence Award for Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) of the Year.
He is passionate about positively affecting the lives of others. He has been asked by several apartment associations in the country, and one in the United Kingdom, to serve as a keynote speaker. Additionally, he has enjoyed making a positive difference in the lives of fellow product service members, through Supplier Success.
Charles is a “Patched Member” of the international organization, Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA). He serves as the Dallas Chapter Vice President, the Child Liaison and Agency Liaison. He lives in Plano, TX with his lovely wife Susan.

Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the AAGD Education Department at least 24 hours prior to class. Written confirmation from the Education Department will be sent via e-mail. Substitutions are allowed, but ALL NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED WITHOUT EXCEPTION. By registering for this program, you agree that you have read and understood the cancellation policy.
