Our Committees and Service Opportunities
The Apartment Association of Greater Dallas has several committees that are run by our members who are in volunteer leadership roles. These committees meet regularly throughout the year and work on specific initiatives tasked to them by the AAGD Board of Directors. Each of our committees has opportunities for our members to participate and attend meetings to learn more about the association, network with members, and volunteer for specific tasks for the association.
Where do I start to get more involved?
Whether you are a newbie to the Industry or an experienced Industry Leader that has never been involved, we invite you to experience what AAGD can do for you! There are many benefits to becoming involved in the association that can help you grow professionally and personally. We are a networking-based association with a focus on Advocacy, Education and Communication of industry-related topics and best practices. If you want to start your involvement with the association we suggest you attend the NextGen Open Meetings. NextGEN stands for Next Generation of Leaders, multifamily industry professionals that will become leaders within the association. We want to help you amplify your reach and your industry impact by starting your journey with AAGD.
The best way to get involved at our association is to attend meetings, events, classes, and/or volunteer. If you are not currently on a committee, you can sign up to volunteer and get to know the committees. All of our committees have specific tasks that require assistance from our volunteer members. These tasks differ throughout the year but the following list states a few of the tasks we ask our volunteers to assist with; spreading the word on social media, judging for the sapphire awards, helping sort toys for our drive, or helping with our community service projects. The volunteers play a vital role at the association.
Volunteering helps connect you to our network and is a great way to get involved with the association.
