ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Eligible for 3 CEC

Class Description:

Difficult conversations are inevitable in any team setting—but how we handle them can make or break workplace trust, collaboration, and performance.  This class will help you to recognize when a conversation becomes “critical,” understand the root causes of conflict or misalignment, and apply a proven step-by-step framework to resolve issues constructively—preserving relationships while achieving results.  Whether it’s addressing a teammate’s behavior, confronting miscommunication, or working through performance challenges, this program will help you to work through the problem.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify what makes a conversation “critical” and why they’re often avoided
  • Recognize common workplace triggers and communication breakdowns
  • Learn how to approach and guide difficult conversations
  • Navigate high-emotion situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain focus on shared goals while addressing tough issues directly
  • Build confidence in their ability to address tension rather than avoid it
