The Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) program is the industry's premier national credential for maintenance professionals. Through classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and real-world application, you'll strengthen your technical knowledge while building confidence in the skills needed to excel in multifamily maintenance.
Topics include: Preventive maintenance | Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC fundamentals |Appliance repair |Interior and exterior maintenance | Safety procedures |Customer service and resident relations | Industry best practices

PROGRAM SCHEDULE
5-Day Program
Dates: October 20 / 21 / 27 / 28 /29
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day
PAYMENT POLICY
Payment must be received and posted no later than October 13, 2026.
Payments received after this date cannot be accepted, as course materials will not be ordered and the student will not be permitted to attend.
No exceptions.
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To earn the CAMT credential, candidates must:
- Have at least 12 months of apartment or rental housing maintenance experience. (This experience may be completed while enrolled. Students who successfully complete the course prior to meeting the experience requirement will receive a provisional certificate until eligibility is met.)
- Attend all required coursework and successfully complete the program.
- Pass the CAMT examination within six (6) months of declaring candidacy.
COURSE MATERIALS
Each student will receive a printed CAMT Coursebook on the first day of class.
The cost of the course materials is included with your registration.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Jimmy McClung serves as Maintenance Support Supervisor for Luma Residential in Dallas, Texas. He oversees maintenance operations across multiple communities while developing training programs focused on maintenance efficiency, leadership, and operational excellence.
Jimmy has been recognized throughout the multifamily industry, including:
- 2019 AATC Lone Star Award – Regional Maintenance Supervisor
- AAGD Sapphire Award
- TAA Mary Williams Award
- NAA Paragon Award
He currently serves on the AATC Maintenance Advisory Board and the TAAEF Maintenance Council, and regularly teaches the CAMT program and advanced maintenance courses for apartment associations throughout Texas.
Jimmy holds both the CAMT and ARM professional designations.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Written cancellation requests must be received and approved by the AAGD Education Department no later than October 13, 2026.
Please retain your cancellation approval email for your records.
After the cancellation deadline but before the program begins:
- A one-time, non-refundable $150 restocking fee will apply.

- No-shows will be billed without exception.
- Student substitutions are accepted up to 72 hours before the first class.
