•How long have they been active in the multifamily industry? Ever worked on the owner/management side? I joined Roadside America Auto Club in November, 2005: six years ago. Our company’s involvement goes back more than twenty years. All of our work has been on the vendor side.

•How long have you served on the M-Team? I am an original member of the M-Team, now in its fifth year.

•Who do you sell to? Who is your customer? Our clients are owners/management companies within the multi-family housing arena. We provide residents with free emergency auto assistance, paid by the management company, as a value-added benefit to the lease. Happy residents make for happy management teams and owners. 

•What committees are you currently serving on with AAGD? Currently, all of my work with AAGD is done through the M-Team. I would also like to have a role at the upcoming PAC Auction in February.

•Why do you work in this industry? What keeps you passionate about it?The professionals who work in multi-family housing are selling the most important commodity that an individual or family needs…a place to call home. As a vendor, it’s a privilege to assist in this process.

•How long have they been active in the multifamily industry? Ever worked on the owner/management side? I am the CEO and owner of Ameritex Apt. Movers Inc. This is a family owned business. I started my business 12 years ago on March of 2000 in Dallas/Ft. Worth. A year after my daughter started Ameritex Movers inc. In Houston and my son in Austin. We are a full service moving company and experienced in relocation. Also my husband and I are owning and managing a commercial property for the last 2 years in Arlington.
 
•How long have you served on the M-Team? I am so honored to say that I am an original member from the beginning for the last 5 years.am an original member of the M-Team, now in its fifth year.

•Who do you sell to? Who is your customer? We sell to management companies including multifamily industry, commercial office buildings and any individuals who own a resident and need help with moving. 

•What committees are you currently serving on with AAGD? •Why do you work in this industry? What keeps you passionate about it? I love AAGD and I consider them and this industry as my family since most of my socialization is done with amazing people who I met here. Besides that, what keeps me passionate to continue to work with this industry is that, I can exchange experiences and ideas and network with others that help provide me contacts to make my business more successful. I appreciate AAGD because it has given me an opportunity and a deeper sense of knowledge into how I can grow my business.

•How long have you served on the M-Team? I have had the pleasure of serving on the M-Team since the beginning of the committee. It is a great group of experienced individuals led by an inspirational team of Deborah Newman, Charlene Jarman and Gene Kriska.

•Who do you sell to? Who is your customer?My clients consist of anyone and everyone within the Multifamily Industry. ALN services Owners, Management, Brokers, Lenders, Appraisers, Developers, Locators, and the Product and Service professional.

AAGD:Products and Service Council/Executive for two years, Toys for Tots, Community Service, PAC Golf Chairperson for 2011-2012 and Trade Show Committee. AATC: Community Services Chair, PSC Advisory Board, Ambassadors for Fun, Megan's Care Team and Membership Chair.

•Why do you work in this industry? What keeps you passionate about it? Because it is never a dull moment. You are constantly learning, networking, working, helping others where you can. Paying it forward keeps me passionate, as well as, my career. I love my job and what ALN has accomplished over the years. Working within this industry and the associations has definitely helped and I count myself blessed for the number of friends, clients and mentors (even the ones that did not know) who I have had the pleasure of working and playing with. It's amazing the difference we all can make when we work together and there will always be someone who makes a difference in your work or personal life. Cherish those teachers, friends and moments.

Throughout my career on the management side, I worked as a leasing consultant and worked my way up to a manager’s role. Before I decided to try the vendor side of the industry, I was a property manager for Capstone Real Estate Services. I have been a vendor in the multi-family industry since 2006.

•Who do you sell to? Who is your customer?  Any owner or management company looking to hire any position within their company. We also specialize in temporary services for onsite personnel including: Greeter, concierge, leasing consultant, assistant and property manager and all maintenance positions.

•What committees are you currently serving on with AAGD /  AATC? AAGD Product and Service Concil: Director at Large, M-Team, Toy Drive, Golf Committee, Trade Show, Education and PAC auction

•Why do you work in this industry? What keeps you passionate about it? This industry has provided an amazing career path for me. There are so many opportunities to excel at what you are great at! The sky is the limit. I love working with people and I have been blessed to have developed some really great friendships working in this industry.  I am passionate about giving my clients results and dedicating myself to giving them the best customer service possible.  One of my favorite things about working in this industry is the opportunity to give back to our community.  This industry is always evolving and I love keeping up with the ever changing world of the multi-family industry.
